This Privacy Policy explains how Carevela collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile app and related services (the “App”). Carevela is designed to help caregivers manage medication schedules, reminders, care groups, and related activity.
Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve the App. This may include:
- Account information: such as your name, email address, and login provider information (for example Apple Sign In or Google Sign-In) when you create or access an account.
- Care-related information you enter: such as patient name, medication names, schedules, dose logs, notes, and care group information.
- App usage and technical data: information about how the App is used and how it performs.
How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and enable sign-in.
- To provide core features like medication schedules, dose logging, care group sharing, and activity.
- To send reminders and updates (including push notifications, if you enable them).
- To understand usage, diagnose issues, improve performance, and build better features.
- To provide customer support and respond to requests (including deletion requests).
Firebase Analytics
Carevela uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand app usage, improve performance, diagnose issues, and improve features.
Depending on configuration and platform, Firebase Analytics may collect or receive app usage data such as app interactions, device information, approximate location, or technical identifiers (for example device IDs or advertising identifiers).
Medication and Care Data
Medication and care information you enter (such as medications, schedules, dose logs, notes, and care group details) is used only to provide the App’s core features, including shared access across caregivers when you choose to share.
Notifications
The App may send push notifications for medication reminders, dose confirmations, and care group updates. You can control notifications in your device settings and (where available) within the App.
Data Sharing
We may share information in the following situations:
- With your care group: when you use shared features, certain information (for example schedules and logs) may be visible to other caregivers you invite or approve.
- With service providers: we may use third-party services to host, authenticate, store data, send notifications, and analyze usage. These providers may process data on our behalf according to their own policies.
- For legal reasons: if required to comply with applicable law or lawful requests.
Third-party services we may use can include:
- Firebase / Google services (for example Authentication, Analytics, Cloud Messaging)
- Apple Sign In and/or Google Sign-In (if you choose those sign-in options)
- Supabase (if we use it for storage or backend services)
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes such as troubleshooting, security, and compliance. Retention periods can vary based on the type of data and how you use the App.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see “User Rights and Data Deletion”). We may retain limited information where required or permitted by law.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Carevela is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
User Rights and Data Deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Please include the email address associated with your account and your request details.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice within the App or on this page.
